Topic: How are "Balanced Scores" calculated? [Answered]

This isn't exactly a problem, but a question, and I felt it fit here better than off-topic.

How does the site calculate the "balanced scores" for crews? I initially assumed it to be just an average, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The concept is that if you are 1 person, your score will contribute 100%.

If you are two people, the one with the most score will contribute 100%, but the second person will contribute less than their whole score.

How much percentage is dropped for every player is not linear.

So, while making these numbers and exact fractions up, it's kinda like this:

U1: 1000 * 1.0 = 1000
U2: 800 * 0.8 = 720
U3: 500 * 0.72 = 360
2180

The reason for this calculation is that I thought it kinda captured the thought of having high-scorers being very important, while still keeping a value to adding more members.

Makes sense, thanks for the clarification. Definitely seems like a better system than something like an average, good job.
