Okay, so this one is really messed up because it duplicated both earned and unearned achievements. So I can't even tell which ones are actually the legit achievements to be able to report them correctly. Also since I'm currently the only owner, can't even go look on someone else's profile to find the legit ones to properly report the duplicates and there are a bunch of duplicates in unearned as well. I also haven't finished the game yet to determine which of the unearneds are legit.

Game is Alphadia Genesis for PS4: https://metagamerscore.com/game/79567-alphadia-genesis?user=1779

Here's the list from another site to see what they should be, game has 34 trophies in total: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/11057-alphadia-genesis/ladynadiad

Also have no idea what even caused a bunch of my achievements to duplicate since usually it just adds a bunch of unearned ones but this added earned ones. I know I have noticed that sometimes I seem to drop off the leaderboards temporarily and it shows I didn't have a rank 7 days ago so maybe that is related? Honestly I'm really kind of getting sick of the issues with duplicated achievements here because it's pretty clear there is something wrong in the system that it's adding the same achievements over and over again in multiple games since this is far from the first time its happened, only the first time it has happened with earned achievements.

Usually this bug happens on Steam. The reason is often due to the developers changing their achievement unique identifiers.

Since mgs have the explicit goal to try to keep track of every achievement you have ever earned, even if they are removed by the developer, this becomes non-trivial to solve.

Other sites, such as c.me, astats or sh have the goal of showing your current achievement status as accurately as possible, and for them it becomes much easier because they can just automatically remove any achievement steam no longer claims you have.

Now, that is for steam, and this problem now with psn achievements becoming duplicate is something different. I suspect something became incorrect in my very big back-end update I've been dredging through during the recent weeks - and submitted last weekend.

I'm debugging it now.

Looks to have improved a bit and most of the dupes are gone now, but now it's showing I have completed the game, but still have two remaining achievements. How that happens is beyond me.

The achievements "Archmage" and "Master Warrior" still have duplicates from the looks of the list.

Weirdly though, when I link them the links are exactly the same, but they are counting twice. Also noticed when I click on them there are two other people listed as achieving them, but I'm not listed among that. The other two also aren't listed as owners. All three of us seem to be listed as completing the game, yet no one earned the platinum or "Treasure Seeker" (which are the two I'm still working on).

Definitely seeing some issues with recording owners in general on the PSN games and not seeing myself listed as recent earners for any achievements in my recently played PSN games. I just checked my recently played PSN games and it's an issue that looks to be going back for over a month now since I'm seeing achievements from August not showing me listed. I am properly listed in the one Steam game I played in the past few months, just none of the PSN ones.

Alright so I fixed the duplicate achievements-earned now.

I also found and fixed the issue with latest/first not displaying your achievements - a bug in the cache there made it display the cache of some other achievement's latest/first. People who did not even have Alphadia.

The number of completists is still displaying/calculating incorrectly though, which also makes the achievements get the incorrect value.

Will look into fixing this next.

I did notice that it doesn't appear to just be that game either. Strangely it seems to only be happening to games on the newer side, though Raging Loop was a weird one to see it happen with because that's not really a new game, but most older games looked fine otherwise.

The ones I found besides Alphadia were as follows:

https://metagamerscore.com/game/76554-ultra-hat-dimension?user=1779
https://metagamerscore.com/game/64808-raging-loop?user=1779

But strangely another newish game of mine didn't have this happen:

Just to clarify that we're talking about the same thing, you mean that the three games above have the completist percentage incorrect, right? (and not any of the previous errors)

Yep, the other issues are fixed, but those three games were ones I found that also have the extra completist issue going on as well and I figured extra examples can't hurt.

Thought at first it was just newer games and maybe came from them being added to the site, but the Japanese one is new as well and didn't have the issue crop up. Raging Loop has been out for some time and did have it come up. All of them did have the issue where I wasn't showing in the recent achievers lists, but that is resolved.
